KDM115 Pneumatic Conversion Block (CCH-KDM-SPP168)

Description

The KDM115 conversion block (CCH-KDM-SPP168) swaps the standard clamping block on a KDM115 electric drilling machine for the pneumatic version, letting you run a KDM680C air drill on the existing KDM52 vacuum base. The end state is a fully assembled KDM115A air-powered drilling machine for stone and hard-surface fabrication work.

What the KDM115 conversion block does

The KDM115 conversion block is a direct replacement for the SPP169 electric clamping block. It slides onto the same four linear guide shafts and uses the original cam followers and handle assembly. Once installed and paired with the KDM680C pneumatic drill and a 5/16 inch PTC tube to 1/4 inch NPT fitting (CCH-KDM-P1030-1224), the machine runs entirely on shop air with the venturi vacuum base still drawing suction from the same supply line.

• CCH-KDM-P1030-1224 PTC 5/16 inch tube to 1/4 inch NPT fitting
• 5/32 inch hex key for the retaining and set screws

Installation summary

Loosen the front set screw and clamping block retainer on the KDM600E electric drill and pull the drill. Remove the handle, then lift the SPP169 clamping block off the four guide shafts. Drop the SPP168 onto the same shafts, reattach the cam followers and handle, install the KDM680C and tighten the retaining and set screws, then replace the quick disconnect on the venturi block with the 5/16 inch PTC fitting and connect the short tubing run from the KDM680C Y connector. Test with one or two holes before production work.
