The CounterBalance floating shelf bracket mounts directly to wall studs and disappears inside a boxed shelf, giving a heavy solid surface shelf the look of floating without any visible hardware underneath. This 9 inch version is rated to 1500 lbs per pair and ships two brackets per box, in white.

How the Floating Shelf Bracket Hides Inside a Shelf

Because the bracket sits entirely within a boxed shelf cavity rather than under an open slab, it works best on built shelving rather than a single solid surface overhang. The bracket measures 1.75 inches tall by 1.5 inches wide by 0.25 inches thick, sized to fit inside a standard shelf box without forcing the shelf thicker than the design calls for.

Load Rating by Size

The floating shelf bracket family carries different load ratings by length: 2000 lbs per pair at 6 inches, 1500 lbs per pair at 9 inches, and 1000 lbs per pair at 12 inches.
