Description
Hidden Shelf Bracket support creates a floating shelf or countertop appearance while keeping the steel structure inside a boxed shelf assembly. This 12 inch CounterBalance model extends from both sides of a 20 inch wall plate, giving one bracket a broad connection across the installation area. The white powder-coated finish and compact profile help the support disappear behind the finished shelf.
Support for Shelves and Countertops
The bracket works with granite, quartz, marble, engineered stone, wood, and other shelf or countertop materials when the complete assembly is designed for the load. Its 12 inch arms support material on both sides of the back plate. The shape is useful for floating shelves, pass-through ledges, display surfaces, and counter sections where a corbel would take up space or interrupt the sight line.
Framing and Installation Planning
Install solid blocking across the back plate location before closing the wall. The blocking spreads fastener loads and gives the installer a reliable mounting surface across the 20 inch width. Set the bracket level and square, then build the shelf enclosure around the support. Confirm fastener type, spacing, substrate strength, and edge clearances for the wall assembly. Avoid loading the shelf until every structural connection and finish component is complete.
