Description

The Keep-Nut stop collar is a 1/2 inch split ring that clamps onto a Keep-Nut drill bit and sets a hard mechanical stop at the depth you choose. Once locked with the Allen wrench, the collar gives repeatable hole depth across hundreds of anchor installs without measuring or marking each one.

How the Keep-Nut stop collar sets depth

The split ring slides over the bit shank to the depth that matches your anchor and substrate. Tighten the set screw with an Allen wrench and the collar holds position under normal drilling load. When the collar reaches the work surface, the bit stops cutting. You get the same depth on every hole, which keeps anchors seated flush and reduces broken Keep-Nut inserts from over-drilling.

Re-check torque on the set screw every few dozen holes. Vibration can loosen it.
