Description
The 10:1 stubby converter from Medmix is a dispenser adapter that lets a standard manual cartridge gun handle 10:1 ratio two-component cartridges in tight working areas. The shortened body fits in cabinets, behind equipment, and overhead positions where a full-length gun cannot reach.
What the 10:1 stubby converter does
Two-part adhesives, sealants, and potting compounds ship in side-by-side cartridges with different chemistry volumes for each side. A 10:1 mix ratio means nine units of resin for every one unit of hardener, common in epoxy, urethane, and methacrylate chemistries. The stubby converter pairs the cartridge with the right plunger geometry, so the gun pushes the correct volume from each cylinder as the operator squeezes the trigger.
Compatibility
- Mix ratio supported: 10:1 by volume
- Format: stubby (short body) for confined work areas
- Fits Medmix MIXPAC 200 mL cartridge series
- Use with appropriate static mixer nozzle (sold separately)
Where the 10:1 stubby converter is used
Countertop fabricators reach for the stubby for invert-position seams. Aerospace and electronics MRO uses it for adhesive bonding in cramped panel work. Sign and display shops use it for under-bench adhesive placement. The converter is consumable hardware: it pairs with the manual dispensing gun and the static mixer, not the cartridge itself.
For matching cartridges, mix nozzles, and other dispensing hardware, see dispensers, mixers, and nozzles. Medmix system literature is on Medmix.
