Description
The non-woven scuff disc in 5 inch maroon 320 grit is built for blending, cleaning, and finishing without changing part dimension. The open-web construction prevents undercutting and lets the disc cut consistently across a long service life. Hook-and-loop backing fits orbital and DA sanders, making this a fast swap between grits in a finishing line.
What Makes the Non-Woven Scuff Disc Different from Paper
A non-woven scuff disc uses synthetic fiber matrix loaded with abrasive grain, not a paper or film backing. The matrix conforms to surface contour, so it scuffs panels without cutting flat through high spots. For solid surface countertops, automotive sheet metal, and brushed-finish stainless, that difference shows up as fewer rework passes and less material loss.
Where to Use a 320 Grit Non-Woven Scuff Disc
Countertop fabrication shops use these for blending between coarser shaping and final polish on solid surface like Corian or quartz. Automotive body shops use them for paint prep and blend lines. Metal fab uses them for deburring and brush-finishing stainless and aluminum panels. Sign and display shops use them on acrylic and laminates where a hard abrasive would scratch. The 320 grit Very Fine band is one of the most common finishing grits and pairs with finer maroon and gray discs for a stepwise sequence.
Materials and Compatibility
Compatible with solid surface, quartz, painted steel, aluminum, stainless steel, brass, copper, and most engineered laminates. The maroon color codes the disc as Very Fine in the standard color-coded grit system used across the abrasives trade. Hook-and-loop backing fits standard 5 inch random orbit and DA sander pads.
