What Makes the Non-Woven Scuff Disc Different from Paper

A non-woven scuff disc uses synthetic fiber matrix loaded with abrasive grain, not a paper or film backing. The matrix conforms to surface contour, so it scuffs panels without cutting flat through high spots. For solid surface countertops, automotive sheet metal, and brushed-finish stainless, that difference shows up as fewer rework passes and less material loss.

Where to Use a 320 Grit Non-Woven Scuff Disc

Countertop fabrication shops use these for blending between coarser shaping and final polish on solid surface like Corian or quartz. Automotive body shops use them for paint prep and blend lines.
