Description
Silicone primer sold in a pint bottle for shops that bond, encapsulate, or pot with silicone elastomers and need consistent adhesion to glass, metal, ceramic, and many plastics. CHT QSIL Primer #5 is a clear, low-viscosity adhesion promoter that wipes or brushes onto a clean substrate, flashes off at room temperature, and leaves a reactive surface that improves the bond between a silicone RTV or addition-cure rubber and an otherwise difficult substrate.

Surface preparation is the largest single driver of silicone bond reliability. CHT recommends thoroughly cleaning the substrate, applying Primer #5 as a thin uniform coat, and allowing complete flash-off before silicone placement.
