Description
CE-1155-35 coating is a two-component polyurethane conformal coating supplied as a 1 gallon kit for printed circuit board and electronics protection. It is the pre-diluted version of Conathane CE-1155 and is used when a urethane film is needed for assemblies exposed to moisture, handling, and service stress.
CE-1155-35 coating Benefits
- Two-part polyurethane chemistry forms a tough protective film on electronic assemblies.
- Pre-diluted kit format supports spray, brush, or controlled coating work after mixing.
- ELANTAS literature lists the family for printed circuit boards, electrical devices, and related components.
- 37A/30B solids content supports coating builds where a lower-viscosity material is preferred.
- 1 gallon kit supply fits production, repair, and qualification work better than small lab packs.
Use this material where an electronics team needs a urethane conformal coating with established MIL and IPC history. Confirm the coating process on sample boards before moving into release work.
CE-1155-35 coating Applications
- Printed circuit board coating for industrial electronics.
- Motor, relay, and electrical device protection.
- Aerospace and defense electronics where a qualified coating family is specified.
- LED, control, and sensor assemblies exposed to humidity.
- Repair stations that need a larger kit for repeat coating work.
Surface Preparation and Use
Boards should be clean, dry, and free of oils, flux residue, dust, and loose particles before coating. Mask connectors, heat sinks, test points, and keep-out areas before mixing the kit. Follow the current technical data sheet for mix ratio, pot life, film thickness, cure, and ventilation.
Run a small process check before changing from another coating. Confirm coverage around component leads and under raised parts, then inspect for bubbles, thin spots, or trapped contamination.
Technical Details and Documentation
ELANTAS product literature places Conathane CE-1155-35 in the polyurethane conformal coating line and lists the family for CU, ME, ED, and PCB applications with MIL-I-46058-C and IPC-CC-830 references. Review current guidance from ELANTAS before approving a production process.
