Unlike a CounterPlate that sits on framed knee-wall construction, the IslandBar Mini mounts to cabinetry. The 20-inch bracket measures 1.75 inches wide by 1.75 inches high and supports a one-sided overhang. Manufacturer guidance lists a 10 to 16-inch supported overhang range for 3 cm stone and a 10 to 13-inch range for 2 cm stone. Those ranges help identify the correct bracket family, while the completed assembly still depends on cabinet strength, fastener placement, countertop material, and overall span.
The bracket can attach on either side of the cabinet, giving installers flexibility around doors, drawers, and interior storage. Plan the location so mounting fasteners reach reinforced cabinet structure rather than a thin panel alone. The support should sit level and make continuous contact with the underside of the countertop or its approved supporting substrate. Check clearances before drilling so screws and bracket edges do not interfere with slides, hinges, plumbing, or electrical work.
