Description
This deform-nut rivet nut creates a threaded attachment point in material that only allows access from one side. The Specialinsert 9203A/M3/XZI is a tubular stainless steel body with a low profile head and a knurled 5 mm shaft, sized for M3 thread and a 9 mm length.

Use this fastener in sheet metal, tube, box structures, composites, or other thin-wall parts where the back side cannot be reached with a wrench or a weld nut. The knurled body resists spinning once installed, and the low profile head keeps the finished attachment point close to the surface for panels, brackets, and enclosures where clearance is tight. Aerospace and defense assemblies, transportation and specialty vehicle bodies, sign and display frames, and mold-making tooling all use this style of insert where a threaded point is needed but there is no room to work from both sides of the panel.
