Devcon Floor Grip is a two-component epoxy floor coating with silicon carbide granules for anti-skid protection on industrial walking and working surfaces. ITW Performance Polymers lists Floor Grip for walkways, ramps, loading docks, and stairs, with application down to 40°F and adhesion to concrete, wood, steel, brick, aluminum, and damp surfaces.

Surface Prep and Ordering Notes

Clean the surface, remove loose material, and confirm the substrate can accept an epoxy coating before application. The coating can be brushed or rolled on, then silicon carbide granules are broadcast over the surface to build the walking texture. Plan work around temperature, cure time, traffic shutdown, and any facility safety rules for coatings and slip prevention.

Before coating, define the traffic pattern and where the anti-skid texture should stop. Mask transitions, drains, door thresholds, and equipment pads so the finished surface stays useful without creating cleanup problems. For damp concrete or metal, test adhesion in a small area first and follow site rules for ventilation, protective equipment, shutdown time, and return-to-service timing.
