Description
The Heartland Adhesives FasTak 2 accelerator speeds the cure of cyanoacrylate adhesives so a fresh bond reaches handling strength in seconds rather than minutes. Spray or brush it onto one surface, apply the cyanoacrylate to the mating part, and the two cure on contact. It also kicks off cyanoacrylate that has bridged a gap or pooled on a non-reactive surface, where unaided CA can sit wet for a long time.
Where the FasTak 2 accelerator fits
Production assembly leans on it when fixturing time has to drop. Bond porous materials like wood, leather, and fabric where the substrate soaks up CA and stalls the cure. Treat acidic or hard-to-bond surfaces ahead of the adhesive. Set fillets and gap fills that would otherwise stay tacky. Woodworkers, model makers, sign shops, and repair technicians keep a can at the bench for exactly these moments.
How the FasTak 2 accelerator performs
A light, even coat is enough. Hold the can a few inches off the work, let the carrier flash off, and join the parts. Heavier coats can leave a white haze on glossy surfaces and can weaken the joint, so a quick pass beats a flood. The cured bond carries the strength of the cyanoacrylate itself, with the accelerator simply driving the reaction to completion faster.
