Where cyanoacrylate accelerator is useful

Apply accelerator only as directed by the adhesive system instructions.

For many instant-adhesive workflows, accelerator is applied to one surface while adhesive is applied to the mating surface, then the parts are joined immediately. Keep surfaces clean, dry, and free of oil or dust. Because accelerators can change appearance, cure speed, and bond performance, test the full process on production materials before moving into regular use.

Use the smallest practical amount that gives the process result you need. Too much accelerator can make the adhesive cure too quickly at the surface or create visible residue on sensitive parts. When cosmetics matter, run a sample bond first and approve the accelerator method before using it on customer-facing assemblies. Keep the cap closed when not in use and follow the current SDS for storage and handling.
