Description

Araldite AW 8595 is the resin component of Huntsman’s two-part epoxy adhesive system for metal bonding. Mixed 1:1 by volume with HW 8595 hardener, it cures at room temperature into a tough, gap-filling bondline that tolerates less than perfect surface preparation, including lightly oiled metals. This 46 lb pail feeds meter-mix equipment and high-volume hand batching.

Where Araldite AW 8595 Is Used

The system bonds steel, aluminum, and dissimilar metal assemblies in industrial manufacturing, transportation, and sporting goods production. Mixed viscosity in the 21,000 cP range spreads under a trowel or bead gun and stays put on vertical faces while parts are fitted. Its tolerance for oily and lightly contaminated metal cuts surface prep time on production lines where solvent wiping every part is not practical.

How Araldite AW 8595 Cures

Pot life runs about 100 minutes at room temperature, a long open window for large layups, multi-part fixtures, and panel bonding where parts get positioned after the adhesive goes down. The mixed adhesive cures at room temperature with no oven required. The cured bondline keeps enough flexibility to absorb thermal movement between dissimilar substrates.
