Description
Insulcast RTVS 27 is a two-part RTV silicone potting compound for protecting electronic assemblies from heat, moisture, and vibration. It cures to a tough, flame-retardant mass that keeps sealed parts working in the field.

Surface Prep and Use
Mix Part A and Part B at 1:1 by weight until the color is uniform. Pour or pump the mixed compound around the assembly and work it into tight spaces so no voids remain. For critical assemblies, degas under vacuum before the material sets. Cure 24 hr at 25 C, or accelerate to 4 hr at 60 C or 0.25 hr at 120 C. Pot life at 25 C runs 1 to 1.5 hr, so mix only what you can place in that window.
