Description
Insulcast RTVS Primer 44 is a one-component silicone adhesion promoter that prepares metal, glass, plastic, and ceramic substrates before RTV silicone potting or encapsulation. A thin primer coat improves the bond between the cured silicone and the surface, so potted assemblies hold up against moisture, vibration, and thermal cycling in the field.

Surface Prep and Use
Clean the substrate to remove oil, dust, and release agents, and let it dry. Apply a thin, uniform coat of primer by brush or wipe. Allow the primer to flash off and air-dry for 30 to 60 minutes before potting. Once the primer is dry, pot or encapsulate with the matching RTV silicone compound and cure per that product data sheet.
