Description
Lord 7150 urethane adhesive is a two-component structural urethane supplied here as the Part A component in a one-gallon container. Part A carries the isocyanate side of the system, which reacts with the matching curative to build a tough, flexible bond on plastics, foams, rubber, cloth, and painted or powder-coated metal.
Where the Lord 7150 urethane adhesive earns its place
Shops reach for this system when they need a strong bond to plastics without crazing or attacking the substrate. It joins dissimilar materials, holds on painted and powder-coated metal, and bonds foams and fabrics that defeat most rigid adhesives. Common work includes panel assembly, composite fabrication, and general production bonding where a resilient joint matters more than a brittle one. Fabricators also use it to bond trim, brackets, and reinforcement pads where the joint must flex with the part instead of cracking under load.
How the Lord 7150 urethane adhesive holds up
Cured film stays tough and flexible rather than glassy, so it absorbs vibration and movement between parts. The chemistry runs solvent-free with no VOC content, cures at room temperature, and reaches full strength in about 24 hours at 77 degrees F. Modest heat speeds the cure when production timing is tight, and the set bond resists weathering and humidity. Because the film stays resilient across a wide service range, it holds up under repeated flexing and thermal movement that would fatigue a rigid bond over time.
