Description
This is the black 50ml cartridge of LORD 7545-A/B, part number 3026832. Same adhesive as the off-white version, same 1:1 ratio, same 3 to 5 minute work time and 30 minute handling strength. The only difference is the curative pigment, so you give up nothing on throughput or strength by going dark. It bonds FRP, SMC and other plastics with little surface preparation, plus primed metals and dissimilar substrates. Made in the USA.
Why Black
Squeeze-out on a dark part is the whole reason this version exists. On black ABS, a painted dark panel, a smoked polycarbonate return or a charcoal composite, an off-white bond line reads as a defect even when the joint is perfect. Black disappears into the substrate and saves the cleanup pass. If the joint gets painted or hidden, the off-white version does the same job and there is no reason to specify color.

Running the 50ml at the Bench
- Takes a 1:1 manual gun sized for 50ml side by side cartridges. The Chem-Set PAK-50 is what we stock for it.
- Needs a static mixer with at least 20 elements, Parker’s minimum for 50 mL dispense. The Mixpac MBH 06-20T has 20.
- Watch the purge on black. Under-mixed black material streaks rather than going uniformly dark, so the first inches out of a fresh mixer tell you visually whether you have full mix, which is a small advantage the off-white does not give you.
- Level the plungers before the mixer goes on. Expel a little material with no mixer installed until both sides dispense evenly.
- Target a 0.010 to 0.040 in bondline. Larger gaps can be filled where mating surfaces are irregular.
- Clean tools with acetone or MEK before the adhesive cures. Do not use alcohol. Black pigment makes cured squeeze-out harder to hide, so clean up while it is wet.
- Protect a partial by leaving the used mixer in place as a plug, and keep unopened cartridges in the Mylar bag with the desiccant. The 7545-A resin is moisture sensitive.

Does the black version perform differently than the off-white?
No. Parker publishes the same 3 to 5 minute work time and the same 30 minute time to handling strength for both the off-white and black 7545-B curatives, and both run 1:1 by volume off the same 7545-A resin. Color is a cosmetic choice, not a performance trade.
How much adhesive is in a 50ml cartridge, and how far does it go?
50 mL of total mixed material, which runs about 20.7 linear feet at a 1/8 in bead, 5.1 ft at 1/4 in and 2.3 ft at 3/8 in. Subtract a mixer’s length of purge. If your joint needs more than about 5 ft of quarter-inch bead, look at the 200ml, which is also offered in black.
What gun and mixing tip does this cartridge need?
A 1:1 manual gun for 50ml side by side cartridges, with a static mixer of at least 20 elements. We stock the Chem-Set PAK-50 gun and the Mixpac MBH 06-20T mixer for this size. The 200ml and 400ml take different guns and a 24 element mixer, so gear does not carry over if you step up.
How long do I have to work with it once it is mixed?
3 to 5 minutes at 75°F. Parker’s instruction is to discard the part if working time is exceeded, because a bead that has started to skin will not wet the mating surface. Handling strength comes at 30 minutes and full cure is 24 hours. A cooler shop extends all three.
What sizes does the black come in?
Black is available in 50ml, 200ml and 400ml, which is the full range. Off-white stops at 200ml, so black is the only option if you need a 400ml cartridge of 7545-A/B.
Can I save a partially used cartridge?
Yes, if you plug it. Leave the used static mixer in place to seal the cartridge, because the 7545-A resin is moisture sensitive and an open port will skin over. Fit a fresh mixer next time and purge before laying a bead. Unopened cartridges keep 8 months from date of manufacture at 65 to 85°F.
