Description
The LORD 7545 urethane adhesive is a two-part, room-temperature bonding system that joins FRP, SMC, and many thermoplastics with little surface preparation, and it also bonds primed metals and dissimilar substrate combinations. This container holds the Part B side of the 1:1 system, ready to pair with Part A for structural assembly work.
Where the LORD 7545 urethane adhesive fits
Fabricators reach for this system on body panels, transportation components, and composite assemblies where welding or mechanical fasteners are impractical. It bonds fiberglass-reinforced plastic, sheet molding compound, and primed metal, and it holds dissimilar material pairs together across a bonded seam. The off-white cured line stays in place on vertical and overhead joints because the mixed paste is non-sag. On composite panels and FRP enclosures, the bonded seam spreads load across the joint rather than concentrating it at a fastener hole, which helps thin panels keep their shape in service.
How the LORD 7545 urethane adhesive holds up
Cured bonds resist sunlight, weathering, humidity, and salt spray, which suits outdoor and transportation service. Work time runs about 3 to 5 minutes, handling strength comes near 30 minutes, and full cure follows by 24 hours at room temperature. The formula is non-flammable and clears U.S. DOT handling requirements without explosion-proof dispensing equipment. Stored in the pail and kept sealed between runs, the Part B side stays usable for repeat production batches.
