Description
The LORD 852 acrylic adhesive is a two-part, toughened structural acrylic that cures at room temperature with LORD Accelerator 25GB to bond prepared or unprepared metals and many engineered plastics. This lined gallon holds the adhesive side for shops running higher-volume bonding in place of welding, brazing, or riveting.
Where the LORD 852 acrylic adhesive fits
Assemblers use this system to replace spot welds and mechanical fasteners on metal panels, frames, and enclosures. It bonds a wide range of metals with little or no surface prep and joins some engineered plastics, which makes it a practical choice for mixed-material assemblies. Because it cures at room temperature, it fits production lines without oven or fixture heat. On stainless, aluminum, and coated steel, it forms a continuous bond line that seals the joint against moisture while it carries the structural load.
How the LORD 852 acrylic adhesive holds up
Cured joints carry high impact and peel loads with a cohesive failure mode, and they perform in service from minus 40 to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. The bond resists dilute acids, alkalis, solvents, greases, oils, moisture, salt spray, and weathering, and it tolerates e-coat bake cycles. Low-temperature toughness and fatigue resistance make it suited to transportation and equipment work. The toughened chemistry absorbs vibration and flex without cracking, so bonded frames and panels hold together through repeated load cycles.
