Description

The Medmix Piston Insertion Tool is a hand tool that installs and seals air-free pistons inside 600ml 1:1 ratio two-part cartridges. The tool’s center bump opens the piston’s air-release diaphragm during insertion so trapped air evacuates as the piston seats against the adhesive, then the diaphragm closes and the cartridge seals when the tool is withdrawn.

How to Use

Place the piston on top of the insertion tool with the gray diaphragm side facing up and the hard plastic spoke side facing down onto the tool. Confirm the tool’s center bump fits into the piston’s center cavity so the piston stays seated on the tool. Press the piston into the back end of the cartridge using the tool. As the piston travels down, the bump holds the diaphragm open and trapped air vents back out. When the piston meets the resin or adhesive inside the cartridge you’ll feel a gentle resistance — stop there. Pull the tool away and the diaphragm closes automatically, sealing the cartridge with air evacuated.
