Description
The Cox MR 50 dispenser handles 50 mL square back (S-flange) two-part cartridges at 1:1 and 2:1 mix ratios. The compact manual gun loads through a breech-style action, drives the cartridge with a 16:1 mechanical advantage, and produces up to 787 lbf of force at the cartridge face for high-viscosity adhesives and sealants.
What the Cox MR 50 dispenser handles
The S-flange version takes square back 50 mL cartridges from most major two-part adhesive suppliers, covering structural acrylics, methacrylates, two-part epoxies, and urethanes that ship in the standard 50 mL form factor. The 1:1 and 2:1 ratio support covers the majority of the 50 mL field. For higher mix ratios such as 4:1 and 10:1, Cox builds a separate MR series body.
How the Cox MR 50 dispenser is built
The handle and cartridge holder are glass fiber reinforced nylon, which keeps weight low at about 0.4 lbs while standing up to shop drops and chemistry spills. The cartridge holder is 125 mm long. The breech load means no nose plate to fight when swapping cartridges, which speeds up production work on the bench or in the field.
Application notes for the Cox MR 50 dispenser
For viscous structural adhesives, prime the cartridge with a short purge through a fresh static mixer before applying to the bondline. Replace mixers between work sessions or when material starts to set in the tip. Store the gun on the lay-down rest after each use to keep the rod and breech clean. For chemistry switches between cartridges, cycle a clean cartridge of cured material through the breech once to clear any drag from the previous chemistry.
