Description
ANL-RC/HT retaining compound is a high temperature anaerobic adhesive for retaining bearings, bushings, collars, gears, sleeves, and other cylindrical metal parts. Pacer data lists this green grade at 800 to 1100 cP, with .015 inch gap fill and service resistance up to 450 degrees F.
ANL-RC/HT retaining compound Benefits
- High temperature grade helps shops retain metal parts where heat would push ordinary assemblies loose.
- Anaerobic cure fills the space between close-fitting metal surfaces after the joint is assembled.
- Green liquid format gives technicians a visible application line before parts are seated.
- .015 inch gap fill supports slip fit and line fit work without machining every part to a press fit.
- 50 mL bottle size fits maintenance kits, bearing repair benches, and low-volume production cells.
This product is meant for metal-to-metal cylindrical assemblies, not general surface bonding. Use it when the job needs a retained part to resist vibration, leakage paths, heat, and movement after cure.
Where ANL-RC/HT retaining compound Fits
- Retaining bearings and bushings in housings.
- Securing collars, gears, fans, and sleeves to shafts.
- Repairing worn fits where the clearance remains inside the listed gap range.
- High heat maintenance work around motors, pumps, and machinery.
- Assembly cells that want chemical retention instead of extra pins or set screws.
Surface Preparation and Use
Clean oil, chips, and loose corrosion from the bore and shaft before applying the adhesive. Active metals such as steel, brass, bronze, and iron normally cure without activator, while inactive or plated surfaces may need a primer or extra cure time. Assemble the parts before skinning or contamination can affect the liquid film.
Apply enough material to wet the retaining area, then seat the part squarely. Wipe excess before cure and allow the joint to reach full strength before loading. Confirm fit, temperature, and service-fluid exposure before approving a production repair.
Technical Details and Documentation
Pacer ANL data identifies the RC/HT grade as a high temperature retaining compound with 800 to 1100 cP viscosity, green color, 10 to 15 minute fixture time, 24 hour full cure, and .015 inch gap fill. Review current brand resources from The Original Super Glue Corporation before production use.
