Description
Pacer red RTV is a one-component high temperature silicone gasket sealant for automotive, maintenance, and industrial sealing work. It is used where heat, oil, antifreeze, grease, and transmission fluids require a flexible red silicone bead.
Pacer red RTV Benefits
- Temperature resistance to 650 F supports exhaust, timing cover, and engine-adjacent sealing work.
- Flexible cured silicone helps resist shrinking and cracking as parts heat cycle.
- Sensor-safe formulation supports use around modern automotive assemblies when applied as directed.
- Fluid resistance helps maintenance teams seal parts exposed to oil, coolant, grease, and transmission fluid.
- Multiple package sizes let buyers match a small repair, bench stock, or repeat shop use.
Use this red RTV where a formed-in-place gasket or high temperature seal is preferred over a rigid adhesive. Apply only to clean parts and follow cure guidance before returning equipment to service.
Pacer red RTV Applications
- Aluminum exhaust manifold gasket work and high heat metal joints.
- Timing chain covers, valve covers, and similar automotive sealing points.
- Rubber, metal, and machined flange repairs in maintenance shops.
- Equipment housings exposed to oil, grease, antifreeze, or transmission fluids.
- Service benches that need red high temperature silicone in 3 oz, 8 oz, or 11.1 oz packaging.
Surface Preparation and Use
Remove old gasket material, oil film, and loose corrosion before applying a new bead. Dry-fit the parts first, then apply a steady line of silicone without excess squeeze-out into the assembly.
Let the material skin and cure according to the current TDS and the joint size. Do not use it where the equipment maker specifies a different gasket chemistry or a dry assembly.
Technical Details and Documentation
Chemical Concepts product data lists high temperature use to 650 F, pressure resistance to 5,000 psi, and resistance to oil, antifreeze, grease, and transmission fluids. Review current Pacer and Super Glue Corporation information from The Original Super Glue Corporation before production or fleet use.
