Description
The Nordson EFD Series 160 static mixer is a spiral bell nozzle, 16.6 in long, that blends two-component material as it flows through the element. The bell inlet ports the A and B sides into the mixer from a valve manifold or a large-volume cartridge, so each pass leaves a uniform, fully combined output ready to dispense.
Where the Series 160 Static Mixer Fits
It runs with two-part epoxies, urethanes, and similar metered systems in 200 mL and 400 mL formats at common ratios such as 1:1 and 2:1. The bell inlet seats against the manifold face, which makes changeover quick between shots. Disposable elements also keep one material from contaminating the next, since you replace the mixer instead of flushing it. That matters on color-matched or critical bonds where a trace of the prior batch would show. For valves, cartridges, and other nozzles, see our dispensers, mixers, and nozzles category.
Series 160 Static Mixer Specifications
The mixing element is acetal housed in a polypropylene body, a disposable design that you swap out rather than clean between materials. Keep spare mixers staged so a fresh element is ready when one cures off, and confirm the bell pattern matches your manifold or cartridge before ordering. Longer nozzles give more mixing length for higher-viscosity or wider-ratio systems that need extra passes to blend evenly.
