Techcon TS5420 Precision Needle Dispensing Valve

Description

The Techcon TS5420 is a precision needle dispensing valve that meters low to medium viscosity fluid down to 0.003 cc, a fraction of a microliter. A short opening stroke gives fast, positive shut off, and an external stroke control lets the operator fine tune shot and bead size without swapping parts. It runs as a spring close single action valve or, with the spring removed, as an air close double acting valve.

Where the dispensing valve is used

Precise low volume deposits drive its use. Electronics and LED lines place small dots and beads of adhesive, oil, and UV cure resin. Medical device and general manufacturing stations meter primer, lubricant, or cyanoacrylate where a large valve would overshoot. Aerospace and metal fabrication shops use it for controlled bead work on small assemblies. The compact body and easy mount threaded hole drop it into automated cells.

How the dispensing valve is set up

Air at 70 psi or higher triggers the valve, and fluid pressure can run up to 300 psi. The 1/8 inch NPT fluid inlet and Luer lock male outlet accept standard Techcon tips, and a rotating tip collar makes bent tip placement easy. Pairing the valve with a timed controller fixes the open interval so deposit size stays repeatable across operators.
