Description
Ritter ORBIS 12-24 is a disposable square static mixer with an integral nut connection for two-component adhesive and sealant cartridges. The 24-element ORBIS body, 183 mm length, 7.2 mm outside outlet, 4.9 mm inside outlet, and 12 mm tube diameter give operators a longer mixing path than the 10 mm version in the same ORBIS family.
Ritter ORBIS 12-24 Benefits
- Twenty-four static mixing chambers help combine two adhesive streams before the material reaches the bond line.
- Longer 183 mm body gives additional residence path for materials that need a larger ORBIS mixer format.
- Integral nut connection secures the mixer to the cartridge during hand, pneumatic, or production dispensing.
- 7.2 mm stepped outlet gives crews room to trim the tip for bead size and process access.
- Disposable mixer format keeps cured adhesive out of the next cartridge cycle and reduces cleanup time.
This mixer fits shops running two-part cartridge materials where the adhesive supplier or approved process calls for the 12 mm ORBIS body. Keep mixers in sealed stock near the dispensing bench so operators can change nozzles between cartridges, material pauses, or expired work time.
Where Ritter ORBIS 12-24 Fits
- Two-part structural adhesive dispensing in countertop and panel fabrication.
- Epoxy, polyurethane, silicone, acrylic, and MMA cartridge systems that specify a 12 mm ORBIS mixer.
- Production runs that need repeatable bead quality from disposable static mixers.
- Maintenance and repair stations where mixed material cannot be left in the nozzle.
- Cartridge adhesive setups where longer mixer length helps control final blend quality.
Surface Preparation and Use
Clean, dry, and prepare the bonding surfaces according to the adhesive data sheet before dispensing. Attach the mixer fully, purge material until the bead looks uniform, and discard the purge before starting the part. Check bead color and texture during the first pass because streaking can signal poor flow or an expired mixer.
Replace the mixer when work pauses longer than the adhesive working time. Forcing material through a cured mixer can raise pressure, crack a cartridge, or leave unmixed adhesive in the joint.
