Description
Most adhesive-mount nuts on the market use a perforated base, holes that let excess adhesive squeeze through the bottom during installation, which wastes adhesive and leaves a messier bond. The Specialinsert Master-Plate F2Y3232 skips that design. It uses a solid, hole-free 32mm square base with round spacer feet that set the bondline thickness on contact and keep adhesive contained under the part instead of spilling out the sides. What sets it apart from a standard flush hex nut is the raised threaded collar standing 1/2″ above the base, giving deeper thread engagement and a built-in standoff between the mounting surface and whatever bolts on afterward. 1/4-20 thread.

| Master-Plate RS (this item) | 0.65 g | 75 | $0.10 |
*Based on an $8.00 50ml adhesive cartridge, per Specialinsert lab testing. Actual cost depends on the adhesive you use.
Performance in Production
- The raised collar provides deeper thread engagement and standoff height than a flush hex nut, useful when bolted hardware needs clearance off the mounting surface.
- No perforations means no adhesive squeeze-through to wipe up and a tighter, more even bondline than holed designs allow.
- Round spacer feet set the bondline thickness automatically on contact, no serpentine bead pattern or guesswork on glue volume.
- Lab testing recorded a 26.9% increase in pull-out strength and a 48.5% increase in shear strength versus a standard perforated base of the same size.
- Same testing recorded roughly 72% less adhesive used per piece versus the standard perforated base.
- Zinc plating resists corrosion in damp or outdoor-adjacent environments.
- Match the adhesive to the substrate. Options used with this base style include LORD 406/19, Chem-Set Ultralok 420GB, LORD 310A/B, Huntsman 2015, and Huntsman 2053.
Common Applications
- Threaded mounting points needing extra standoff height or deeper thread engagement than a flush nut allows
- Bolt-on mounting for brackets, panels, or hardware bonded to metal, plastic, composite, or stone surfaces
- Jobs where a perforated-base fastener would leave visible glue squeeze-out and a cleaner finish matters
- Blind-hole or through-hole threaded connections where drilling or welding isn’t practical
