Description

2001M adhesive is a solvent-based Sta-Put canister contact adhesive for high tack spray bonding on porous and many non-porous materials.

The manufacturer describes this product for general construction, manufactured housing, RV, aviation, marine, HVAC, textile, and upholstery work. It is intended for flatwork and pressure-sensitive bonding, with careful positioning because coated surfaces grab once contact is made. The clear color also helps on trim, fabric, and light assembly work where a dark glue line would stand out.

Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of dust, loose paint, wax, oil, grease, rust, and moisture. The TDS calls for adhesive and materials at 60 degrees F to 95 degrees F, an 8 to 12 inch spray distance, at least 80 percent coverage on both surfaces, and firm pressure after joining.
