Sta’-Put S155 contact adhesive, now sold under the GacoBond name, is a flammable, solvent-based spray contact adhesive for production bonding where quick tack, strong initial hold, and an extended assembly window matter. The high-solids formula is intended for decorative laminate, plywood, particleboard, rigid plastic, and metal-facing work. Its broad spray pattern helps operators cover panels evenly while limiting dry spots that can weaken a finished laminate.

S155/S156 is built for cabinet shops, fixture builders, transportation interiors, architectural millwork, and general fabrication. It supports postforming and flat-lamination work where both surfaces can be coated, allowed to flash, aligned, and pressed together. The long open-time profile is useful on larger sheets because crews have more room to position the assembly before the bond is closed. Red and clear versions support different shop preferences for visual coverage checks.
Application and Handling
Apply an even coat to clean, dry mating surfaces with spray equipment suited to flammable contact adhesive. Allow the solvent to flash according to the current technical data before joining the parts. Once the surfaces meet, uniform pressure is important because contact adhesives build the joint from surface-to-surface contact rather than from a thick wet bead. Roll laminate from the center toward the edges to reduce trapped air, then inspect corners and seams before the part leaves the station.
