Description

Sta’-Put 773-40 is a solvent-based spray grade contact adhesive built for high-volume spray application on laminates, plywood, particleboard, polyurethane foam, and rigid plastics. This neoprene-based formula lays down with aggressive grab and high green strength, so panels hold in place immediately on contact, and a long open time gives installers room to position large sheets correctly before the bond sets.

Where this spray grade contact adhesive gets used

Cabinet shops, countertop fabricators, and sign makers reach for 773-40 when a job calls for spraying rather than rolling or brushing contact cement across wide laminate sheets. Spray application lays down more even, consistent coverage over a large panel faster than manual spreading, which keeps bond quality consistent from edge to edge on high-volume laminate and countertop runs. It bonds well to plywood substrates, particleboard cores, polyurethane foam padding, and rigid plastic trim pieces, covering most of what a case-good or countertop shop runs through a spray booth in a day. One limitation to plan around: 773-40 is not built for postforming work. Shops running postformed edges or radiused laminate profiles should use Sta’-Put S150 or S151 instead, which are formulated specifically for that process.

High resistance to static stress also keeps bonded joints intact under repeated flexing or vibration instead of working loose over time, which matters on case goods that get moved, loaded, and used hard in service.
