Description
The Techcon 18 gauge green TE dispensing needle is a 1/2 inch bent tip for controlled placement when a straight outlet blocks the operator’s view or hits a fixture wall. The 90 degree bend lets the syringe, valve, or adapter stay beside the part while the tip reaches down into a recessed area. The TE718050B90PK style is rated to 100 psi and supplied in a 50 count package for repeat bench and production use.
Where this dispensing needle fits
Use this tip for dots, short beads, primers, oils, solvents, light adhesives, and other qualified fluids that need a fine 18 gauge path at an angle. The green hub helps separate this size from nearby 20, 22, and 25 gauge tips at a shared bench. A right-angle outlet can help around ribs, housings, small enclosures, trim channels, and fixture stops where a straight needle would force the tool into the work. It also helps technicians keep their hand clear of wet material while they watch the bead land.
The 1/2 inch reach is short enough to stay stable during hand work and long enough to reach past small obstructions. For automated or semi-automated stations, keep the bend orientation fixed after setup so the tip returns to the same dispense point on every cycle. Change the tip if cured material changes the outlet, if the bend is damaged, or if the job switches to a fluid that cannot share the same path.
How this dispensing needle handles setup
Prove the tip on scrap with the actual material, pressure, shot size, and standoff distance before production. Fine placement depends on more than gauge. Fluid viscosity, dispense pressure, dwell time, and part movement all affect dot shape and bead width. Keep the approved gauge, length, bend angle, and color in the work instruction so reorders match the qualified process.
