Description
CHT QLE 1039 is a blue, two-part silicone encapsulant for coating applications where fabric, cloth, or flexible assemblies need a tough cured surface with excellent adhesion. The grade is part of CHT’s QLE silicone coating family and is published as a 100 percent solids addition cure elastomer. Compared with slower coating grades, QLE 1039 is positioned for faster cure while still giving a long open time for spreading, leveling, and inspection before the coated part goes through heat cure.

QLE 1039 fits industrial coating operations that need a resilient silicone layer rather than a hard protective block. Fabric and cloth coating are the primary applications, but the same controlled film behavior can matter on flexible electronic insulation, coated fixtures, and elastomeric surfaces where movement is expected after cure. The technical sheet identifies a 1 to 1 mix ratio and a 44 Shore A addition cure coating grade, while CHT’s selector lists the blue color and approximately 24,000 to 25,000 cps viscosity. That combination gives a coating with enough body to stay controlled during application and enough flexibility after cure to move with the substrate.
Use QLE 1039 only after the substrate, film thickness, mix method, and oven profile are qualified. Silicone addition cure systems can be sensitive to contamination from some materials in the work area, so keep mixing tools clean and avoid using unknown gloves, tapes, or residues near the wet coating.

Apply the material evenly, let the film settle, and move the part through the documented heat cycle without stacking or bending the substrate while the coating is still wet.
