There are methods of dispensing adhesives onsite. The question is, what is easy as opposed to hard in completing a task. Choosing the correct method depends on the elements or varied ranges that meet with cost efficiency and waste reduction. So, what are the techniques to dispensing? With growth in the building and construction industries, Read more…
When working with industrial-grade adhesives, you know that precision is key. However, every once in a while, you’re bound to make a mistake. How do you remove adhesives? For different adhesives there are different ways to remove them.
When it comes to structural adhesives, there is a definitive process through which the best results can be achieved. This blog will outline the general guidelines for strong, sturdy adhesion in every project. Many of these ideas are more common sense. Let’s explore. Firstly, we should define the different types of loading stress. There are Read more…

Before jumping into the reasons for using MMD equipment, it must first be defined. MMD equipment, or Meter Mix Dispensing equipment, enables bulk container usage within the process of dispensing adhesives. MMD equipment is usually manufactured and dedicated to a specific volume mix ratio, allowing coverage anywhere from 1:1 volume to 22:1 by volume. MMD Read more…
The third type of structural adhesives are known as urethane adhesives. Just like with the two previous types of structural adhesives, urethane adhesives are made up of properties that make it different and stand out from the rest. Urethanes are normally a one component synthetic crystalline compound or ethyl which varies according to chemical structure. Read more…
The second type of structural adhesives are epoxy adhesives. As it stands with the acrylic adhesives, these have distinguishing properties that separate them from the others. Epoxy resins are known as polyepoxides, a class of reactive prepolymers which can be cross-linked (cured) with themselves or a wide range of catalysts referred to as hardeners. Epoxy Read more…
At Chemical Concepts our aim is to give our customers the best products for their projects. When it comes to labeling we want people to understand what they are receiving. Acrylic adhesives are a resin-based adhesive that is comprised of methyacrylic polymer which needs a catalyst to cure. This type of adhesive is characterized by having a strong bond to a multitude of substrates, withstanding fluctuations in temperatures ranging from-40°F to 400◦F, resistant to sunlight and solvents that will not exhaust the bond strength on Read more…
We at Chemical Concepts find it important to educate our customers to simplify choosing the correct structural adhesives. Here is some handy information. Listed below are some of the general terms that are important: 2-Component adhesive – This is an adhesive or a coating that will consist of two separate components within the unreacted state. Read more…
At its base level, a structural adhesive is an adhesive that can be used to produce a load-bearing joint. Structural adhesives are most often applied mainly to those within the engineering field where the joints will normally have a lap shear strength that is greater than 1MPa and more commonly, higher than 10MPa. Some of Read more…
