Description
The Techcon 700 Series 3cc syringe barrel in black is a total light block barrel built for Techcon’s air powered and manual dispensing systems. It holds 3cc of fluid, threads onto a Techcon 700 Series receiver head, and ships bare in a bulk case of 1,000 for shops running through barrels fast enough that a 50 count pack is not worth the packaging overhead. Where the natural version suits general fluids, the black barrel exists for materials that degrade or cure early under light exposure.
Where the Black Syringe Barrel Is Used
- Light sensitive adhesives and coatings, including UV or visible light activated chemistries that need to stay uncured until the operator is ready to dispense
- Photoresists and light sensitive encapsulants in electronics assembly
- Any dispensing job where the amber barrel’s partial block is not enough and the fluid needs full protection from ambient light
- High volume production lines where the 1,000 count case cuts down on how often the line stops to restock barrels
700 Series Syringe Barrel Specifications
- Capacity: 3cc
- Color: Black (total light block)
- Material: Polypropylene, silicone and chloride free
- Maximum operating pressure: 100 psi (6.9 bar)
- Outlet: Luer-Lok, compatible with Techcon 700 Series receiver heads and TE Series tips
- Piston: sold separately, not included with this barrel
- Pack quantity: 1,000 barrels (bulk case)
Pair this barrel with a 3cc piston sized to the fluid: blue easy flow for medium viscosity materials, white wiper for thin fluids that need a tight seal, or red straight wall for thick, high viscosity chemistries. Mount the loaded barrel to a 700 Series dispensing valve or receiver head and finish with a Luer-Lok tip. Techcon builds the black barrel to the same dimensional standard as its natural and amber counterparts, so pistons, receiver heads, and tips carry over without any change in fit. For full manufacturer specifications on the 700 Series line, see Techcon.
