The Albion B12Q cartridge gun is a manual applicator for one-quart cartridges used with sealants and construction adhesives. Its 12:1 mechanical drive produces up to 375 lbf of thrust for controlled dispensing of standard-viscosity materials. The metal half-cradle holds 28 to 32 ounce cartridges, including nominal 825 mL formats, while the rotating carriage helps the operator keep the nozzle oriented around corners and along changing bead paths. A full-size handle supports steady hand pressure during repeated installation and maintenance work.
Materials and Applications
This B-Line tool is designed for silicones, acrylics, polyurethanes, construction adhesives, chinking compounds, and similar materials packaged in compatible quart cartridges. It serves glazing, flooring, roofing, concrete, log-home, weatherproofing, and general construction workflows. The 12:1 ratio balances output and hand effort for standard materials and common nozzle configurations. Very thick compounds, cold material, exceptionally long nozzles, or high back-pressure applications may require a higher-thrust applicator. Handling and Maintenance
Release pressure before loading, seat the cartridge fully in the half-cradle, and confirm that the plunger contacts the cartridge piston squarely. Open the cartridge seal with the built-in puncture wire, attach the correct nozzle, and trim the outlet for the desired bead. Apply smooth trigger strokes while guiding the nozzle at a consistent angle and travel speed. After dispensing, release drive pressure to reduce material flow. Remove cured residue from the carriage and plunger area without damaging moving parts. Inspect the rod, drive mechanism, handle, and cartridge supports regularly so wear does not affect output or cartridge alignment.
