Description
The CounterBalance CornerPlate is a countertop corner bracket built for pass-through openings where an overhang needs support in two directions at once. It replaces the bulky corbels that usually crowd a breakfast bar corner, freeing up leg space on both sides of the opening.

Room-to-room pass-throughs put a countertop overhang on two exposed edges instead of one, which a standard single-direction bracket cannot support cleanly. The CornerPlate mounts at the corner and carries load forward and to the side from the same low profile plate, so there is no second bracket crowding the knee space underneath.

Mounting this countertop corner bracket
The CornerPlate mounts on top of a half wall to support an extended overhang in breakfast bar style layouts, and it is designed to sit at the beginning or end of a run of bar top supports. CounterBalance recommends spacing supports every 16 to 20 inches along a run so the load stays within the rating at every span, with this corner bracket anchoring the direction change.
Finish and durability
The black powder coat finish resists the chipping and corrosion that a painted bracket picks up under a sink or near a dishwasher vent, and the low profile keeps the plate out of sight once the countertop is set. Because the plate mounts on top of the wall rather than requiring a notch or cutout, installation does not need any modification to the framing.
