Description
The 5 x 8 workstation bracket is a compact, reversible CounterBalance support in an almond powder-coated finish. It mounts to load-bearing wall framing for countertops, shelves, workbenches, ADA stations, computer stations, and other floating work surfaces where open space below matters. The 1.5 inch mounting surface and two usable orientations help fit shallower layouts.
5 x 8 workstation bracket: Fit and Applications
This bracket transfers surface loads into load-bearing wall studs. Use the 5 inch or 8 inch side to suit the available depth, then confirm framing, surface thickness, seams, cutouts, and field loads before selecting bracket quantity and spacing.
The Workstation Bracket mounts at the wall structure so the arm remains hidden after the surface is installed. CounterBalance guidance allows an overhang to extend up to 6 inches beyond the bracket length when the complete layout follows the applicable load and spacing guidance. Supports are commonly planned on 16 to 20 inch centers. Project loads, substrate thickness, seams, cutouts, and field conditions still determine final quantity and spacing.
Installation and Finish Checks
Confirm stud locations before ordering. Fasten into load-bearing wood framing or provide suitable backing for metal studs. Keep the bracket level with adjacent supports so the countertop bears evenly across the run. The almond powder-coated finish suits light cabinetry and trim, while the concealed placement keeps the hardware out of the finished sightline. The reversible 5 x 8 inch form supports either a short 5 to 11 inch orientation or an 8 to 14 inch orientation, and published family testing lists 1,520 lbf to deformation per pair for this size.
