Description
The Specialinsert Deform-Nut M6 in 316 stainless is an open rivet nut with collar for adding a permanent M6 thread to sheet material in corrosion-prone service. Body diameter is 9 mm, length 16 mm. The collar seats against the panel face, the deformable shank crimps against the back during installation, and the resulting thread takes machine screws repeatedly through service and maintenance cycles.
Deform-Nut M6 Benefits
- Creates a permanent M6 machine thread in materials that cannot be tapped reliably.
- 316 stainless body resists corrosion in washdown, marine, and chemical-service assemblies.
- Open rivet-nut format installs from one side, no back-of-panel access required.
- Collar seats the insert flush during installation for a clean panel face.
- Available across the Deform-Nut family from M4 to M10, with and without knurling, for standard-set kits.
Common Applications for Deform-Nut M6
- Stainless equipment panels and enclosures in food, pharma, or marine service.
- Equipment covers and access panels removed and reinstalled during maintenance.
