Description
Fluorolube LG-160 is the highest-viscosity oil in the Fluorolube PCTFE fluoropolymer family. 1400 cSt @ 100°F, density 1.955 g/cc, pour point 55°F (13°C). Near-fluid grease behavior for barrier fluid, damping, and specialty sealing applications. Nonflammable, oxygen-compatible.
LG-160 Benefits
- Highest viscosity in the Fluorolube oil line (1400 cSt @ 100°F)
- Maximum film thickness and damping behavior
- Nonflammable PCTFE chemistry, oxygen-compatible
- Stable in strongly oxidizing and acidic environments
- High density (1.955 g/cc) for strong film persistence
- Low vapor pressure, low outgassing
Common Applications
- Barrier fluids and damping applications
- Specialty sealing in slow-moving systems
- Index-matching fluids
- Vacuum pump fluids requiring high film
- Instrument fill fluids
- Specialty oxygen and oxidizer service

Selection Notes
LG-160 is the heaviest Fluorolube oil. For lower-viscosity service, see FS-5 (cryogenic, 6 cSt), MO-10 (light, 16 cSt), S-30 (general-purpose, 100 cSt), T-80 (high, 500 cSt), or HO-125 (very high, 750 cSt).
Use Restrictions
Do not use with aluminum or magnesium parts under heavy friction. Limited low-temperature flow (above freezing only). Avoid contact with sodium, potassium, amines, hydrazine, liquid fluorine, and liquid chlorine trifluoride.
