Description
FasLok threadlocker is Heartland Adhesives’ anaerobic locking and sealing family for metal fasteners and close-fitting metal parts. The line covers threadlocking, thread sealing, retaining, and gasketing needs where liquid adhesive cures between metal surfaces after air is excluded.
FasLok threadlocker Benefits
- Anaerobic cure helps lock and seal voids between metal parts.
- Available in a range of strengths, viscosities, and cure speeds.
- Helps resist vibration loosening on threaded fasteners.
- Supports retaining and gasketing applications beyond threadlocking.
- Useful across electronics, OEM, maintenance, construction, and equipment work.
This product page represents the FasLok threadlocker family rather than one single grade. Select the exact grade by fastener size, desired removability, fixture speed, service temperature, and whether the joint is a thread, cylindrical retaining fit, pipe thread, or flange. Keep low, medium, and high-strength grades separated so maintenance teams choose the right removability level.
FasLok threadlocker Applications
- Locking screws and bolts against vibration loosening.
- Sealing threaded metal fasteners against leakage and corrosion paths.
- Retaining cylindrical parts where metal-to-metal contact is close.
- Gasketing metal flanges when a formed liquid seal is preferred.
- Maintenance stockrooms that need low, medium, and high-strength grades.
Selection and Use Notes
Clean oil, loose oxide, and debris from the fastener before application. Pick removable grades when service disassembly is expected and high-strength grades only where permanent locking is acceptable. Anaerobic adhesives cure in confined contact with active metals, so plastics, plated surfaces, large gaps, or inactive metals may need a primer or a different grade. Confirm service temperature and chemical exposure before standardizing a grade.
