The KEEP-NUT™ IM2X2S/P1.4-20/H11.5 by Specialinsert is a highly specialized “bridge” anchor. Featuring a unique 2×2 crown design separated by a spacer (4 crowns total), it requires a hole depth of exactly 12.0mm. This insert was specifically designed for fabricators working with panels where an 8.5mm insert is too shallow, but a 15.5mm insert is impossible.

The Bridge Anchor: IM2X2S / P1.4-20 / H11.5

The IM2X2S Keep-Nut™ was brought into stock specifically to solve a common fabrication challenge. Featuring a unique 2×2 crown layout separated by a steel spacer (yielding 4 load-bearing crowns total), this 11.5mm insert perfectly bridges the gap between the standard 8.5mm and the larger 15.5mm structural inserts.

It is the ideal epoxy-free solution for 13mm–15mm panels where an installer wants deeper embedment than a standard medium-duty anchor can provide, but lacks the material thickness for the deepest structural anchor. Simply drill a 12mm diameter hole to a depth of 12.0mm, press the insert in, and it is instantly ready to bear a load.

  4. Fasten: Thread your 1/4-20 bolt. Tensile load expands the four crowns, anchoring it permanently.
