Description
This is the black 50ml cartridge of LORD 7545-A/D, part number 3029662. It is a 1:1 two-component structural urethane adhesive for FRP, SMC and other plastics with little surface preparation, plus primed metals and dissimilar substrates. Work time is 11 to 18 minutes and handling strength comes at 90 minutes, the longest work time offered in a 50ml cartridge anywhere in the 7545 family. Note that A/D in 50ml is black only. Made in the USA.

Running the 50ml at the Bench
- Takes a 1:1 manual gun sized for 50ml side by side cartridges. The Chem-Set PAK-50 is what we stock for it.
- Needs a static mixer with at least 20 elements, Parker’s minimum for 50 mL dispense. The Mixpac MBH 06-20T has 20.
- Black gives you a visual mix check. Under-mixed material comes out streaked rather than uniformly dark, so the purge bead tells you immediately whether the mixer is doing its job.
- Purge time is 15 minutes, near the top of the work time range. On a pause, fit a fresh mixer rather than trusting what is sitting in the tip.
- Level the plungers before the mixer goes on, expelling a little material with no mixer installed until both sides dispense evenly.
- Target a 0.010 to 0.040 in bondline. With 11 to 18 minutes of work time the bead sits unsupported longer, so fixture the part and leave it alone rather than checking it.
- Clean tools with acetone or MEK before cure, never alcohol. Black cured squeeze-out is harder to hide, so stay ahead of it while wet.
- Protect a partial by leaving the used mixer in place as a plug. The 7545-A resin is moisture sensitive.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the A/D 50ml come in off-white?
No. The A/D 50ml cartridge is black only. Off-white A/D is offered in 200ml. If you need off-white in a 50ml cartridge, look at 7545-A/C, which is off-white in all three sizes and runs a 6 to 8 minute work time.
How much adhesive is in a 50ml cartridge, and how far does it go?
50 mL of total mixed material, about 20.7 linear feet at a 1/8 in bead, 5.1 ft at 1/4 in and 2.3 ft at 3/8 in, minus a mixer’s length of purge. If your joint needs more than about 5 ft of quarter-inch bead, look at the 200ml.
How long do I have to work with it once it is mixed?
11 to 18 minutes at 75°F, the longest work time available in a 50ml cartridge in this family. Handling strength is 90 minutes and full cure is 24 hours. Parker’s instruction is to discard the part if working time is exceeded, because a skinned bead will not wet the mating surface.
What gun and mixing tip does this cartridge need?

Why pick A/D over a faster grade in this size?
Positioning time. If a part needs to be laid, checked and adjusted before it sets, 11 to 18 minutes gives you that where 3 to 5 on A/B does not. The trade is 90 minutes to handling strength against 30, so the fixture is tied up three times as long.
Can I save a partially used cartridge?
Yes, if you plug it. Leave the used static mixer in place to seal the cartridge, since the 7545-A resin is moisture sensitive and an open port will skin over. Fit a fresh mixer next time and purge before laying a bead. Unopened cartridges keep 8 months from date of manufacture at 65 to 85°F.
