Dispensing and Surface Prep for LORD 403/19
Like most two-part acrylic adhesives, LORD 403/19 performs best on surfaces that are clean and free of oil, dust, and mold-release residue. A solvent wipe ahead of bonding improves adhesion on painted and bare metal alike. Because the two components mix on their way through the static mixer, the first inch or so dispensed from a fresh mixer tip should be discarded to make sure the ratio entering the bond line is fully mixed before it’s applied to the part.
This 415ml cartridge replaced the earlier 375ml packaging, and the two sizes are not interchangeable in the same gun.
