Description
The Medmix stepped static mixer MBH 05-16T is a disposable mixing nozzle for two-component materials packaged in compatible MIXPAC A-System cartridges. Sixteen helix elements divide and recombine the components as material moves through the housing, producing a blended output without powered mixing. The stepped outlet can be trimmed when an application needs a larger bead opening.
Compatible Dispensing Work
This mixer is configured for 1:1 and 2:1 A-System cartridge ratios. It is used with epoxies, polyurethanes, silicones, acrylics, methacrylates, and other two-part adhesives or sealants when the cartridge outlet and connection match. Common work includes electronics assembly, transportation repair, aerospace bonding, construction, concrete repair, and general manufacturing. Always verify the cartridge interface, ratio, viscosity, required flow, and adhesive supplier’s mixer recommendation before production use.
Mixing and Application Details
The 16-element helix provides repeated mixing action in a compact disposable format. Published product-finder data identifies a nominal retained volume of 1.91 mL and a pressure value of 4000 for this configuration. Actual bead quality depends on the material, temperature, cartridge balance, gun condition, and purge procedure. Purge enough mixed material to confirm uniform color and consistency before applying to a production part. Replace the nozzle after work interruptions if material begins curing inside the elements.
