Description

The Mixpac MFHX 13-24T is a disposable helix static mixer for 4:1 and 10:1 F-System cartridges. It has 24 mixing elements in a 13 mm bore and measures 296 mm (11.65 in) overall. It is the top of the line on bore diameter, pairing the largest bead available with a middle element count. It also holds the most material of any MFHX nozzle. See the full MFHX line for all eleven sizes.

Where the 13-24T fits

  • Widest bore in the line combined with a middle element count. Use it when the joint needs the largest bead available and the material still needs a thorough blend.
  • Highest element count offered in the 13 mm bore. There is no 13-32T.
  • Highest retained volume in the MFHX line at 26.48 ml. That is more than six times what the 06-18T holds. On expensive adhesives, calculate the waste cost per changeover before standardizing on this size.
  • At 296 mm it matches the 08-32T in length while delivering a much larger bead.
  • Confirm the 13 mm body clears your fixture and fits your gun holder before ordering.
  • Mounts directly to the cartridge with no converter. Disposable, so no purging or cleanup between batches.

Compatible cartridges

Cartridge system Ratio Fill volume
F-System 200 Industrial 4:1 225 ml
F-System 200 Industrial 10:1 250 ml
F-System 400 Industrial 4:1 415 ml
F-System 400 Industrial 10:1 490 ml

Running a 1:1 or 2:1 cartridge instead? Use the MFH series with white elements. The ratios do not interchange.

Common applications

  • High viscosity two-part adhesives and sealants that need both the widest bore and thorough blending
  • Large bead and high output dispensing from 400 series cartridges
  • Filled and thixotropic materials where a narrow bore restricts flow
  • Aerospace and aircraft sub-assembly with two-part structural adhesives
  • Transportation, marine, and composite assembly with structural adhesives
  • Wind turbine blade assembly, repair, and field service
  • Construction, concrete repair, and infrastructure work

Ordering

The MFHX 13-24T ships in factory boxes of 600 and is ordered in full box quantities. Pair it with matching cartridges and dispensing guns from the dispensers, mixers, and nozzles category.

Frequently asked questions

What does MFHX 13-24T mean?

MFH is mixer, F-System, helix design. The X marks the 4:1 and 10:1 version with orange elements. The 13 is the 13 mm inner diameter. The 24 is the number of mixing elements. The T is the stepped outlet tip.

What was the old part number for the MFHX 13-24T?

This nozzle was previously sold as the MFX 13-24. The current medmix article number is 151606.

Which MFHX nozzle wastes the most adhesive?

The 13-24T at 26.48 ml retained. The next highest is the 10-32T at 21.22 ml, and the lowest in the line is the 06-18T at 4.16 ml. If you change nozzles frequently on a high value adhesive, that difference is worth calculating before standardizing on the widest bore.

Is there a 13 mm MFHX with 32 elements?

No. The 13 mm bore is offered in 18 and 24 elements only, and the 13-24T is the highest element count available at this diameter. For 32 elements, the widest bore offered is 10 mm.

Should I use the 13-18T or the 13-24T?

Both have the same 13 mm bore, so the bead size and flow rate are identical. The 13-24T adds six mixing elements for a more thorough blend. The tradeoff is 61 mm more nozzle length and 5.75 ml more material retained at changeover. If the material blends cleanly at 18 elements, the 13-18T is the cheaper nozzle to run.

Will the MFHX 13-24T work on a 1:1 cartridge?

No. MFHX nozzles are built for 4:1 and 10:1 ratios. For 1:1 and 2:1 F-System cartridges, use the MFH series.
