Description

The Techcon TS5322 spool valve is a pneumatically activated miniature dispenser for medium to high-viscosity fluids in industrial assembly and electronics manufacturing. A balanced spool design creates fast on/off switching that is not affected by fluid input pressure, so dispense volume stays consistent regardless of pressure variation from the supply reservoir. The spool action displaces a small portion of material back into the tip during shutoff, creating an automatic suck-back that prevents drip between shots.

Where the Techcon TS5322 spool valve works best

Applications that require fast, precise shots of medium to high-viscosity material fit this valve well. Common uses include dispensing sealant beads to create form-in-place gaskets on covers and housings, depositing oil drops into gear assemblies, applying liquid flux onto printed circuit board assemblies during solder operations, and spot-dispensing adhesives in electronics manufacturing. The suck-back feature is especially valuable where drip-free shutoff is needed on expensive substrates or where excess material would contaminate adjacent features. An optional oil chamber above the upper seal creates an additional liquid barrier for moisture-sensitive materials. The valve opens by air pressure and closes by a return spring (single acting), with a secondary port available for air-close connection (double acting).

How the Techcon TS5322 spool valve handles fluid

The balanced spool design means inlet pressure does not force the valve open or closed, giving stable dispense behavior across a wide range of supply pressures. Activation requires a minimum of 70 psi input air. The standard model handles fluids from 1 to 1,000,000 cps viscosity with a maximum fluid pressure of 500 psi. The valve operates at 500 or more cycles per minute. Body measures 3.9 inches long by 1.12 inches wide and weighs 0.31 lb. Fluid inlet is 1/8 inch NPT female, fluid outlet is luer lock male. Each unit ships with a mounting bracket kit, valve air hose, luer lock fluid line, fittings, a dispensing tip selection pack, and an oiler.
