Description
Miralon 15S masterbatch is a family of carbon nanotube concentrates that make engineering plastics electrically conductive at low letdown rates. Each grade carries 15% MIRALON pulp in a carrier resin matched to your base stock, so processors get ESD-safe and static-dissipative parts without handling loose conductive filler.
Miralon 15S Masterbatch Benefits
- Four carrier grades, PA6, PA12, PETG, and PPS, so the concentrate matches the resin you already run
- Conductivity at low loading, which leaves base resin properties close to the unfilled material
- Published data reports increased tensile and flexural properties, including a 50% gain in flexural strength on several grades
- Reduces mold shrinkage compared with the unmodified base resin
- Ships as black granules that feed and dry like any other concentrate
- Runs on standard injection molding and extrusion equipment with no special screw package
Common Applications
- ESD-safe housings, trays, and totes for electronics assembly
- Static-dissipative parts in cleanroom and semiconductor handling
- Electrical and electronic component bodies and connectors
- Automotive plastic parts needing controlled surface resistivity
- Extruded profiles, sheet, and tubing for industrial equipment
- Conductive fixtures and jigs on manufacturing lines
Choosing a Miralon 15S Masterbatch Grade
Match the carrier to your base resin first, then set the letdown rate from the conductivity you need. PPS is the highest conductivity grade at 146 ohms per square, followed by PETG, then PA12, then PA6. Published data covers 2% and 4% letdown on all four. Density runs 1.07 to 1.09 g/cm³ for PA12, 1.14 to 1.18 g/cm³ for PA6 and PETG, and 1.35 g/cm³ for PPS, with moisture content below 0.5% across the family. Validate the final loading in your own resin, part geometry, and process window before production. Store sealed in the original container at 41°F to 104°F and 30% to 80% relative humidity, where shelf life is 24 months from date of shipment. This product is for professional and industrial use.
