Description
P321 Polystyrene Spray Adhesive is a clear, web-spray contact adhesive formulated to bond polystyrene foam without attacking the substrate. It is suited to fabrication, display, scenic, construction, and shop applications where foam must be laminated to itself or joined to another compatible surface.
Application And Bonding
Apply the adhesive to both mating surfaces with broad, even coverage. TensorGrip guidance calls for roughly 80 to 100 percent coverage, with porous materials sometimes requiring a second coat. Allow about two to four minutes, or until the adhesive is dry to the touch, before bringing the parts together. Align the pieces carefully because a contact adhesive develops strong initial grab. Apply as much uniform pressure as practical across the assembly to establish full contact.
The fast-dry format supports trimming soon after assembly, while the published data notes that ultimate strength develops over one to three days. A long open time helps with larger foam panels that need careful positioning. High coverage, moisture resistance, weather resistance, and heat resistance up to 200 degrees F (94 degrees C) make the product useful for indoor shop work and selected field assemblies. Always confirm compatibility on an offcut when bonding coated, painted, plastic, or unfamiliar materials.
