Description
Permabond® 798 is a high-viscosity, surface-insensitive cyanoacrylate adhesive designed for fast and strong bonding of porous substrates and large gaps. Its thicker consistency prevents excessive wicking, making it ideal for bonding metals, ceramics, plastics, and elastomers while maintaining rapid fixture times.
This single-component adhesive cures rapidly at room temperature upon contact with surface moisture. It meets MIL-SPEC MIL-A-46050C Type II, Class 3, ensuring compliance for military, aerospace, and industrial applications.
For customers looking for alternatives to Loctite® 380, 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ CA100, or Permatex® Black Super Glue, Permabond 798 provides an industry-leading high-strength bonding solution.

Directions for Use
- Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and grease-free. Use acetone or isopropanol for best results.
- Apply Permabond 798 sparingly to one surface only.
- Quickly align and press components together. Apply even pressure to ensure a thin, even adhesive film.
- Hold in place for 6 seconds until initial bond forms.
- Allow 24 hours for full strength development.
- For difficult or porous surfaces, use Permabond CSA or QFS 16 Activator.
🔹 Note: For bonding polypropylene, polyethylene, PTFE, or silicone, use Permabond Polyolefin Primer (POP) before applying adhesive.
